Chase Paulson, MS, ATC -
Head Athletic Trainer
Chase Paulson achieved his Athletic Training certification in 2011 after completing his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training at California Baptist University. Besides his love of athletic training Chase is currently employed as Diamond Bar’s CTE Instructor for their Health Science Pathway, encompassing 5 courses related to the field of Health and Medicine.
Chase has been an active participant on the California Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA) Governmental Affairs Committee's Legislative Action Team since 2012, and joined the CATA Secondary Schools Committee in 2015. In 2014 Chase was selected to be a member of the CIF Southern Section Athletic Trainers' Advisory Committee, and in 2015 was selected to assume the role of Head State Master Assessor for the CIF’s wrestling weight management program. Most recently Chase was selected as the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) District 8 Representative, and Far West Athletic Trainers' Association Chair of the Secondary Schools Committee.
Chase is CPR/first-aid instructor certified, and holds a certification in Gavilán Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. He is an approved Preceptor for the University of La Verne and Azusa Pacific University's Athletic Training Education Programs.
In his spare time Chase loves spending time with his fiancée, his pug, and his 8 nieces and nephews. Chase is an avid Harry Potter fan, enjoys anything Disney, and is a self-proclaimed geek.
Veronica Heard -
Earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology at CBU and is currently a first year student at APU working on her Master's degree in Athletic Training. She has worked at Chaffey Community College and Upland High School assisting the Athletic trainers on staff with numerous responsibilities.
Jeff Baird -
Is a graduate level student at Azusa Pacific University, where he is working towards his masters degree in athletic training. He completed his undergraduate degree at CSUF, where he majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis in strength and conditioning. Jeff is both a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the NASM.
Kat Coovert -
Joins us from California State University, Fullerton as a senior student graduating this December with a bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training. She's worked in a variety of settings including division 1 college, Mt. SAC, RCC, physical therapy clinics, and secondary schools.
